I've had my car since May and over the past week and a half, my tranny grinded twice when I put it in reverse. I always fully engage the clutch when shifting into every gear. I originally thought that maybe my clutch is going, because I'm pretty sure it's the original clutch, I learned how to drive a stick on this car and I just hit 123,000. My dad drove it and said all the gears shift smoothly, and while my clutch pedal catches higher, he didn't feel any problems with any of the gears, including reverse.
I don't know if I should be worried, it only happened twice and it hasn't happened again for a few days. My clutch fluid is at the right level, but I didn't check my tranny fluid because like a dumbass, couldn't find a dipstick until I was told manual trannys don't have them. -------------------- |
