The Jack Thompson thing has been quite enjoyable of late.

Edit: The long and short of it is that the main proponent of banning violent video games made a pledge to donate $10k to charity if someone came out with a really heinous game (he provided specifications). Some GTA modders did just that, and he reneged, claiming that his statement wasn't meant to be taken literally. Penny Arcade, a comic strip, has been at odds with him lately.
