So I'm hanging out on sunday pretty bored when I decide that I need to start doing some work on my car. First comes a wash/dry/wax/interior detailing job. Then I'm still not satisfied so I decide to figure out why my drivers side front/rear window has about a 2 inch gap in it when the door is closed. Turns out that after the car was in a wreck a couple of years ago the guys who fixed it never bothered to realign the window tracks and my brother being the car enthusiast that he is fixed it by never rolling the window up all the way...*sigh*...After a couple hours of tinkering around I finally get both the windows lined up and now TA DA the car seals...no more air noises rushing through the car as I drive on the interstate, no more wet seats after a hard rain, and to top it all off as I'm driving on the interstate a Porsche Carrera GT goes flying past me...it was a good day indeed smile.gif. Anyways...after giving the car a good wash and wax I realize that the paint is in serious need of repair, so I'm thinking to myself, why not paint the whole car. I called up my dad and he tells me that on september 1st he is taking possession of a warehouse building here in Omaha and he will bring up his air compressor and all the necessary tools needed for me to (try to) repaint my car. I've done body work before on my explorer so I am looking forward to redoing this car. Although, I now need to buy SS-III splitters, sideskirts, rear extensions (I've tried pm'ing ChrisC but I can't get a response, anyone have any ideas?) and a shaved door handle kit so that I can get the exterior of my car in proper shape to be painted. I'm going to keep her black, she'll always be my nubian goddess biggrin.gif. Once I got back home I'm looking at my car and notice that the tint work looks like crap so I run to Ace Hardware and buy razor blades and acetone and spend an hour or so scraping it all off. I'll get it retinted, I'm thinking of going 10% all the way around but I'm not sure what a place around here will charge to do that. So after doing this work on the car I want to drive it around and while I'm driving I get irritated at the fact that the stock stereo system can't really keep up with the top down at interstate speeds so I run over to Stereo West and buy a set of Clarion SP6500's. So now I sit, at 4:30 in the morning with the new speakers in but it's raining outside (thank goodness I just fixed the windows) so I can't drop the top to see how the new speakers sound in the open and I felt like posting up to show my progress...and on that note, goodnight to you all, and to all a goodnight smile.gif.
