ok I posted a question about the difference between VVT in a silver top VS vtec in a Civic SI. I got mixed answers but noone really was able to explain the differences. I found a great article which explains the 2 systems and how they work
Bill Sherwood VVT vs. VTEC I found this interesting because VVT is nothing to get excited over, infact my friends 70 chevel has this, we installed a MSD ignition on it and it has springs build into the distributor to control the advance in the timing depending on the RPM. VTEC is deffinatly a beter system, but I think that VVT might have more potential to get power gains from because it is more simple. |
