 Having issues with dashboard controls, rpms, engine temp, radio not working |

I just finished with my motor rebuild. It fired up nicely but after a quick drive around the block my dashboard flickered and my rpm/speedo/engine temp/clock stopped working. Gauge cluster light still turns on and fuel gauge is still working nothing else.
Basically it acts like my car is off with the key turned one click. If my door is open the warning bell with chime even though the motor is on. checked all fuses... could a bad ground cause this? hope my problem was clear enough thanks for any input |
