I didnt wanna pay $60 per fender and some guy to molest and touch my car. so i sat down with the die grinder, welding mask, and a beach towel and started cutting my fenders.
My weapon ![]() The leftovers ![]() Passenger side ![]() ![]() ![]() Driver's side ![]() ![]() ![]() 10mins each fender. Procedure: -Lift rear end -Take off wheels -Scrape inside fender lip to get rid of the dirt and what evers behind there -Lightly graze the fender lip with the die grinder to make a guide line -Cut deeper in the line (I made 6 passes to make sure i had a good clean cut) -When satisfied with the clearance put wheels back on and call it a day. Used the welder helmet so i dont burn myself cuz those sparks get really really hot. Then I used a wood block and a hammer to lightly roll the fresh cut area so it looks cleaner and to protect from anyone getting cut. Gonna sand and touch up paint the area later whenever i feel like working on the car again ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by 808celica: Oct 17, 2009 - 7:58 PM -------------------- I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
