First of all, I'm assembling this engine with parts from people all over the forums since I have an engine that someone attempted to part out. With that said, I have two coolant necks that both fit the head but are different from each other. The coolant neck that I have used looks more like the one in the drawn picture below, but there is no nipple where I have drawn the "number 2", there is only a large threaded hole that I have a sensor in for my Autronic ecu.
I pulled the picture below from the handy manual that is posted in the stickies, I drew on it a little to allow my questions to be easier. The picture is not clear as to where "number 1" is going unless it goes into the coolant neck(most likely), and also I should mentioned that my "number 2" hose cannot connect to the coolant neck bolted into the side of the head because there is the threaded hole there. Basically, do I have the right coolant neck installed? I'm thinking that it is for a non-turbo 3s since it doesn't have the turbo water inlet on it, and what is the other one from? And is "number 1" running into the coolant neck like I think it is? ![]() this is the extra coolant neck that I have that looks different from the drawn picture above but still fits the head. What is it from? ![]() and this is the best picture I have right now of my other coolant neck that is close to the drawing above. ![]() -------------------- -Jay
