Hey Guys,
I have been searching for hours and hours trying to find pictures of how the Toyota towbar attaches to the car. All I can seem to find is threads putting down owners that have them, telling them to ditch them ASAP ![]() I am actually in a bit of an unusual situation, because I already drove about 150km round trip and bought a towbar... But when I went to attach it I questioned its design regarding its strength. My one looks almost exactly like this one: Tow bar The previous owner just told me to bolt the ends onto the loops/hooks hanging down under the bumper and screwing in the two screws directly underneath the centre of the bumper. This all sounds okay - but what about the back? What stops it from just twisting about the place? We thought perhaps that it may have been missing a piece the attach to the bolt on the other end of the tongue from the ball, because there isn't anything on the wheel well there to attach it to. Any input is greatly appreciated! ![]() Thank you, Joshua ![]() P.s. don't worry, not a permanent attachment... Just need it as a bike carrier when I go in holidays and the boot will be full ![]() -------------------- ![]() SOLD :( 1997 ST204 Celica ZR -----> See it here on 6GC! 2013 October Celica of the Month XD Now: '00 NB8B Mazda MX5 -----> See it here in off topic! |
