So opening the super strut shock to find out Toyota decided to use a hydraulic cartridge instead of the gas cartridge found in the McPherson set up.

I saw one video from YouTube and I only understood that hydraulic allows for a smoother and less harsh ride when strut rebounds. Is this true. Anybody else have any thoughts?
