how much lower are your megans(trdproven) from out the box height. I say this because your rear control arms in the end link thread are 95% parralel to the ground. i heard this isnt good for suspension travel. basically thats why macpherson sucks and starts to sacrifice full suspension travel because u lowered it.

im running about 3.5" drop, my tire is up there in the fender tucked. i have new control arms to install anyway so not worried too much about wear. i had a camber bolt kit, but cant find it anymore. but my ride feeels super awesome same with the BCs - i dont worry about potholes and bumps. i dont like slowing down, i dont want people to think im stupid for dropping my car if im just gonna slow them down and inconvenience them. but what you said, i think lowering the car sacrifices suspension travel no matter what, but these budget coilovers have done a real good job cus I dont even feel like its dropped.

QUOTE (trdproven @ Jan 24, 2013 - 6:28 PM) *
I know a lot of people that do not know how to tune these coilover adjustment to their roads, in fact im the only one that knows how out of my friends, and i usually do this by driving in every single possible good and crap road to find the best compensating adjustment, takes sometimes days to a couple weeks to complete to get it right to the point where i never touch it anymore.

I'm actually looking forward to this. tongue.gif

Looking around, it seems like most people run the BC BR's with little or no issues. I live in NY and our weather is never the same. We have potholes and road crews that decide that the best way to fix a road is by ****ing it up more. Needless to say, our roads are rough as hell. I've been riding around with Koni Yellow's for almost 2 years now (still holding up fantastic btw) wrapped in Eibach Sportline springs and when I have them on the stiffest setting, my chair gets a good workout. So do my tires. >.> I've broken a bead once or twice.

I want something comfortable (ish. I can get used to a stiff ride) that will hold up decent to our streets and daily use. The BC's seem to have "Damper units are black chromed steel to give superb durability even in the harshest Winters," so I'm leaning more towards them for durability and all-season use.

I'd look at higher end systems, but I can't afford them. I really just want something to get me low, relatively comfortable, and not break in 6 months.

There are also these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/380473510196?ssPag...984.m1438.l2649

But it seems like they only drop 2 1/2 front and 2 in the rear. That's what my springs do... kindasad.gif

you do know that coilovers are shorter in length than stock shock right?? so its really like 3 inch in front and 2.5 in rear or perhaps a tad bit more. look at the tein threads there is picture of stock rear vs tein rear length.

those tanabe don't have dampening adjust-ability. and is pretty crappy considering a coilover should at least come with that at bare minimum.

i think personally compared to like 3k coilovers, i think I'd rather get the 1k coilovers, at least you could get it three times (sets), or change the brand 3 times to see which is best for you. for sure it is okay for street use and mild sport.

My 7gc is tucked too which has the BCs now, and I put Tein basics to its grave, my ankle barely clears the front lip. Just looking at the height of the lip and the bottom of the wheel, the lip would pretty much touch the ground if it got flat. in my signature you can see how level the rim of the wheel is even with the lip. im pretty sure if it were flat, you couldnt get a jack under there, it barely even fits with it inflated.
