Hey community! I'm thinking of buying another 94 and found one on cars.com with a red beams swapped in already?

Anyone know this user or car?

Medford Oregon is where it's supposed to be currently located.

That or I'm looking for a clean 94 or 95 gt shell that I put a 3s-gte or beams in.... need more speed...

That's a Florida car, and I'm fairly sure the owner's name is Donald. He was at a meet a few years ago. It is automatic, but tastefully modified and free of damage, at least as of February 2011.

Yea, I almost bought this car about a month ago. During my email conversation with the seller, I realized it was a scam. Be careful

This is the email I sent her----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would love to see this car and test drive it. I was under the impression that this car was located in alto, georgia though. I can't imagine that it would be cost effective to ship the car from OR. Also the posting says the car has 220k miles on it. You are saying it has 85k, has there been an engine swap done to this vehicle? I was also curious about the selling points listed. It states that this is a project Celica, you are saying the car runs perfect.

I am very interested in this vehicle, I just would like to know as much as possible about it before having you invest money in shipping it.

The posting on cars.com says
1994 Toyota Celica GT
$1,999
220,010 mi.
Black, Coupe, Automatic, 4 Cylinders.
Individual Seller: Scoop (Alto, GA ~ 54 mi. away)

Selling Points: Fully loadedthis is a project Celicalots upgrades done mail me for the full list.Only 85k miles.

This is the email she sent me back---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I used to have a shipping company with my ex-husband so shipping is not a problem for me.A car lot will be delivered in your area and i can load my car too.My niece listed the car for sale and she messed up with the miles. The car runs great no problems at all. Will pass ANY inspection or test.
I have a contract with Amazon Payments so we can go through their Protection Program and you can pay with your credit card online or with cash.
According with the Amazon you have 7 days after you receive the car to inspect it and decide if you want to BUY IT or NOT.
Here is how it will work:
1.First of all I will need the following details from you:
- Full Name
- Full Address
2. After I will receive the details from you, I will forward them to Amazon.
3. After they will process your info, they will send us both invoices. You will receive the invoice with the details on how to make a refundable payment to Amazon. They will hold your payment while you test and inspect the vehicle at your home for a week.
4. Amazon will contact me to ship the car to you. After you receive the car you will have 7 days to test, verify and do whatever you need to the car. If you will decide to buy the car, then I will get the money from Amazon.
5. If you will decide that you do not buy the car, Amazon will refund your payment same day.
I look forward to hearing from you .

Thank you

Yeap that's definitely a scam. I had a guy that emailed me about my Craigslist ad of the falken tires. He claim he has a private business that's in my area(this guy is from Florida) and hell pick up my tires from my doorstep and they can do all the shipping. He claimed he'll pay $400 firm for them and he'll deal with the shipping. All he needed from me was my name and address. I just replied. Give me money cash in hand and you can do whatever you want with them. Lol.

Very fishey that the miles dont match up, there is no satisfactory excuse for that error. Also disheartening that the daughter typed up the listing. Make sure that the item is in fact in existence exactly as described and that the person you are communicating with has personal possesion of the car, the title and the rights to the car.

I feel like your post is supposed to be ironic when I read your name.
