I currently have some chrome amber bulb in my accents and it doesn't light up real bright at all. It's barely noticeable. So now I'm thinking of switching over to LED. Anyone running amber accent lights? I want to see some pics and give me some info on the brand and where I can buy it.

If you would like a top quality 194 bulb I recommend the cree led by ddmtuning.com they are a bit pricey but well worth it.

How long did they last? Like a year?

still running. from the set i bought maybe one or two blew out but they're still running good. i have them on my new projector set.

for the wiring for the bulb i went to the junk yard and got some 3rd brake light harness that fitted the projectors and then wired it to the side fender light.

just get the 5-smd lights, not the single one

I'm rocking Diode Dynamics LED's in both the Celica and the 350Z. Price is decent, and they are by far the best LED's I've owned.

Rentaspace and myself are still trying to decide how we want to wire ours up tongue.gif (We don't have side markers in AUS - just the JDM side indicators wink.gif ).

Are they easy enough to access the side bulbs once the headlights are installed? Just trying to work out if I organize all of the sidelight stuff before or after I install the rest tongue.gif

Nope. The only way to get to the accent lights is by taking off the lo beam. So you might as well do have everything and do everything at once. Lol. You can wire it up with your turn signals. I wished I would've done that instead. So I can delete the turn signal in the future when I get my car painted.

If you wanna do it easy just splice them into the front indicators. Solid green is your park lights, and green-striped is your turn signal.

Thanks Silly.... Another thing to do before I can put them on though... tongue.gif

And I didn't realise that the USDM models don't have accent / parker bulbs built into your low beam headlights, so all of the threads I had been reading were kinda irrelevant tongue.gif All I need to do is splice into the wiring or make up a harness adapter for the parker bulb that is already there tongue.gif

And I don't have any plans for shaving it / removing anything at the moments, so I would prefer to keep them as parkers smile.gif

Thank you for the responses smile.gif

I have bought MANY LEDs for the car over the past year, and I have to say that a good 50 - 60 % have started flickering and breaking kindasad.gif

Even a few of my 'expensive' ones have kindasad.gif

Anyway, my real question is, how hot does it get inside the accent light when the Low beam is turned on? On the ADM lights, the Park lights are located within the same unit as the Low Beam lgiht, and as a result there is A LOT of heat, enough to actually cause my LEDs to catch fire (I switched over the blue tinted bulbs after this).
Will the heat in the accent light be comparable? If not, I will consider some good quality LEDs for them since I don't want to be removing my bumper unnecessarily to change blown LEDs...

Where are you putting these LED's at? I kept having the same problem in my gauges. Kind of a stupid thread, but has some good information.
