Tried to open up the Figure 8 link today and this is what it looks like inside ...
Its not a ball joint ... Its the same for the centre part of the superstrut lower arms .. it knocks due to worn out plastic housing of the stud in it (freeplay) .. Will try to machine a custom teflon housing to remove the freeplay ...   Have fun discussing ... ITS NOT A BALL JOINT
