installed an avcr today. everything seems to be wired properly. throttle reads open and closed on the unit, however the engine flutters at 2000 rpms. I'm not sure what is wrong. air fuel is rich and vacuum doesn't really move from 22 in/hg. any input is appreciated

AVCR is a boost controller, not a tuner like the SAFC.

I am very well aware of this! That is why I am asking. My car seems to be in a limp mode after the install.

Didn't even get that far. I plumped it as follow.
1. Turbo compressor wheel to "no" port on solenoid
2. Wastegate to "com" port
3. Plugged the wastegate to vsv port
4. Jumped the green boost solenoid (back of manifold) on the vsv system
5. Apexi map sensor is tapped into boost gauge line on intake manifold

Wiring
1. Red is power into ignition fuse
2. Green and black to body ground
3. Purple into injector 1 on the ecu (plug e4 pin 12)
4. White to speed sensor on the ecu (plug e6 pin 9)
5. Gray to vta (plug e5 pin11) pink and black; goes to tps

Did I do anything wrong with install?

Everything with the install looks okay apart from possibly the earth, they have to go close together on an earth wire to the ECU, something like within two inches of each other but not soldered together, and pretty close to the actual ECU.......if that's how you did it then that's fine.

But, you need to set it up before you run the car.

I don't know if you can follow this link.

http://www.gt4oc.net/forums/download/file.php?id=19999

I will try and copy And paste it here later on today if nobody else does, it will give you all the settings you need for a basic set up, it will need further tweaking to get it perfect for your car etc but it's a good start.

If there isn't an option for it, then I guess you can leave it.

Everything seems to read and respond properly. The unit loses memory after the car is shut off. Might need to tap into another power source...

It shouldn't! Mine keeps it's memory even after the battery has been completely removed for servicing.?

To save the setting I must go to the "7. Initialize" and select "yes" with the next button correct?
