Okay, I have made up my mind. I am gonna get a new celica. I am looking for a high mileage GT Hatchback. It HAS to be a manual. The reasons for this is because I AM going to do the AWD conversion and the 3S-GTE swap. I am also going to do the interior too. I only have one car so I might as well get a new car for winter anyway. Also I have talked to EL about this and they said that if the car was an Automatic that it would cost about 500-700 dollars more to do the tranny swap. Also since I have a 98 it is gonna be nearly impossible to do the swap. I talked to Eric from EL and he said that the codes for the 98 and up celica ecu's (all gens) have not been released by toyota yet. So if the tried to rewire the ecu for the 3s-gte it would just fry the ECU. They also have fuse lines that can be bridged but any shortage will fry the ECU. So that in itself proposes another problem. So I am gonna get a cheap celica gt hatchback manual and just have it repainted. I can't decide what color. I am kind of leaning towards orange because it will stand out more at shows and for the ladies too. I just would appreciate it if everyone voted so that I can get a good idea of what color to paint it. And money for the paint is not an issue. |

thats awsome man, hehe dont get perfect blue yet, let mee tell u the right color code first, i went to the paint shop today to work the perfecblue blue out, and its 8L5 some people say it isnt but it is, ill lett ya know when i get done let u see what it looks like. but isnt that celica on e-bay a st?

go w/ like a gunmetal....like the one on the new lexus is300
ps. bonzaisushi- the perfect blue paint code is not 8L5 trust me! My car is painted w/ 8L5 Royal Sapphire Pearl, a color that was stock on 97 Supras, and my car definitely is more purple than perfect blues. Charlie has the paint code for the perfect blue. |

Im kinda partial to the 2001 (Toyota) Millenium Silver.
 and the 3s swap is the best thing i could have done. you might be mad at anything else. |

my friend painted his del sol arctic white with a ton of orange pearl. when the sun hits it you would think it is solid orange. that color is sweet.

Dude it has to be 8L5 i asked a bunch of people on the supra boards with rsp and it looks exactly like it. can i see a bigger pic of ur car?so i can see the color

Im positive its not...you would be too if you saw a royal sapphire pearl car in person. However here are all the pictures i have of my car you can try to see for yourself. also check this pic out... this car is 8L5 too and you can see it doesnt look the same as the perfect blue celica. Look on the fender you can kind of see how it would look more purple in the light.
