Hello again,
Well finally didnt got the SS3 BUT i got the GT-4 sooooooooo, i have to start from Somewhere,I sold my WRX and i`m getting my new GT-4 next week and i`ll put my WRX stuff on it (HKS SSQBOV,HKS Turbo timer and Boost Pressure cauge),but what you guys recommend for the GT-4 first to be upgrade? For the WRx they used to said for sure you need OIL COOLER,what about the GT-4?I`m talking of course about safety first and then performance, and also what you suggest for Performance. you ass. j/k! But for any turbo car, you have to get that exhaust out before anything else, its a must. Then you should go with oil cooler, then its your choice since you got the other mains, i.e., boost gauge, bov, and T. timer. Oh yeah, don't forget your boost gauge, that should be next also.

Don't GT4's come with a boost gauge in the gauge panel stock?

you don't need to get an oil cooler. the 6th gen gt4 actually has more cooling than it needs. also, don't take this the wrong way, but for serious technical help and advice you really should go over to the boards on celica.net . there are a few guys over there that have gt4s as well, and a lot of people with a lot of knowledge and experience. http://www.celica.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi This post has been edited by Charlie97L: Mar 20, 2003 - 11:24 AM -------------------- 1994 Lexus ES300

Whats the mileage?, if its 60,000m get your timing belt changed if it hasn't already been. The timing belt cover will have a mileage/KM sticker indicating the last odometer reading when it was changed. You've got your turbo timer, guage, intake?.I'd check your cars general condition out before splashing out.yet. Just an idea though:- ECU remap Exhaust, Fuel Regulator (FSE Boost Valve) Blow off Valve. Boost Controller Upgrade Fuel Pump to a Supra unit (Slots in perfectly to the GT4) Sky's the limit if your pockets have no limit! ![]() |

Gt-4's really aren't good to mod. however, I've got a great deal here on a 95 USDM ST that you can do ANYTHING to. Hell, you're a nice guy, I'll trade you!
I'm also selling a dead bird to a blind kid, if you want it, it's gonna cost ya!~ ![]() |

Not i used to have a prelude(Skunk2 camshafts etc a lot of mods),then i bought a WRX Version 4 Subaru and i sold it for a GT-4!!!The car has 42k kms,its black and wild.I will install at Monday the HKS TUrbo timer and the boost gauge from my WRX.Does really need oil cooler or not?Beacuse here at my country the weather is really hot, what oil you suggest using for the GT-4?For the WRX i was using Castrol GTX 10-40.But guys ITS A HEAVY CAR!!!!!!!!When i went for the Test Drive i was feeling the weight so much(WRX was 1250kg),and the guy from the dealer told me that GT-4s are 1400kg,is that true? What about intake(air flow system)? What you suggesting?
Thank you for your replies |
