Hi Hano, Definatly sounds like some kind of short, check your wires like playr said or take it to an auto sparky.

BTW, where in Oz are you? I am in Perth smile.gif

hano, www.ozcelica.com its an aussie celi club smile.gif

this also happened to me, it happened when i tried to splice my second brake light from both my existing brake light and my night time driving light. (since the second brake light only has one pole, whereas the normal brake light has 2 poles)

user posted image

the left bulb is the normal brake light, the right is the brake light that doesnt trurn on (for aussie cars anyway)

i was trying to get both of them to light up, but since the right only has one connection on the bottom, if i connected both the red and green wires, it would do what you described above, so i only spliced in the red (brake) wire. so what it does now is stay off when i turn my lights on, but lights up when i brake

so unless youve done that.. tongue.gif id suspect its a short somewhere.

chances are the problem is in your tail light's wiring. Somewhere wires are crossed and when you hit the brakes, the power to light up ur brakes goes up in the parking light circuit which turns on all ur dash lights (and parkinglights)
i would start checking the tail lights and work my way up to the dash

Yeah thats an Idea Shadow and K-ESD, maybe the globes were changed in the back before you bought it and some of the wires has become trapped between the frame and the light, creating the short. Try removing the light and see what the wiring is like.

oh thats right volks. I did that before, i replaced my brake light with a globe that only had a single conenction, instead of the two connections, and it did this too. so if youve chanegd your globes, make sure its the right globe.
