o idk just the whole strategy of the game, the line up,and the drillsand wat formation the team is in.In football u dont think at all,a retarded monkey could play.. the QB is the only one that thinks, the blockers block, thats it,the WRs have to run a route and catch, thats it,the RB runs in a lane, thats it...soccer you have to make decisions in a split second or get the ball taken,in football u get to stop every 5 seconds and get in a huddle with a bunch of sweaty guys to figure wat to do for the next 5 seconds.

have u ever played soccer shogun?

wow...only the QB is the only one thats supposed to read that? you've obviously NEVER played football. HAHHAAHHAAHAHAHHA...OK a retarded monkey could play? Then lets see if u can pass this quiz...

Whats an option route. What is an A Gap, B Gap, C Gap? Whats a 34, 43, 46 defense? What is a dog? What's the difference between a 2 technique and 3 technique. Whats a zone blocking scheme? What is the difference between a Cover 2 and Cover 3? What is a stunt? What is a rip? What is the Mike, Sam and Will and where do they line up? What is a zone blitz? Whats the difference between the X,Y, and Z receivers? Whats the difference between a Nickel and a Dime? What does Rover mean? Whats a full house package? Whats a jumbo package? What is a 2 point, 3 point and 4 point stance and when are these stances best utilized?

Sorry but if you cant' answer all of these then you're dumber than a monkey (good luck googling all this information later).

The fact that a 15 year old can play professional soccer tells me that soccer is a freakin joke. All the terminology above is BASIC terminology that you learn in high school. I won;t even think about the cr*p they go through at the pro level. O-line just blocks? They have to adjust their blocking scheme according to the QB's audibles...try being a lineman for Manning's offensive where he audibles every 5 seconds. an o-lineman misses an assignment and somebodys goin to the hospital. They have to be in tune with one another as well. From the way you're talking you wouldnt last a day at football camp. Stick to your soccer. LOL.

Shogun,

You've just proved the difference between the two.

Soccer is more about individual athleticism (whatever you say), and natural talent.

What happens in a game is all about the individual skill of the player, not being told EXACTLY where to run and who to pass to by some old guy who's locked himself in the Stadium for a week kindasad.gif

There's no real end to this discussion, we just have to accept that each sport is different and at the end of the day they both make for great entertainment for people.

do they even have team plays set up for soccer? I dunno coz everytime I watched it all I see is individual efforts, not like the american football where there are tons and tons of designed plays. I do credit the stamina of the soccer players though and the American football's strength, agility and unique designed plays. I still think that hockey is the hardest sport out there... hockey players should be accurate, agile, strong, with high endurance and smart. my 2 cents on this topic.

How come every thread ends up in a "my dad's better than your dad" mentality?

They're not plays...its TERMINOLOGY. I guess football players are smarter.

Marathon runners have more stamina than any soccer player in this country.
