whats this firewall you talk about? and what is a fender?

im such a noob:(

Firewall is that big wall between your engine bay, and you. otherwise, if it wasn't there, you'd put your feet on the engine and burn them laugh.gif Do you see the wall?

Fender is.... the White part biggrin.gif

There is nothing wrong with being new, it just means that you have a bit of catching up to do. tongue.gif

When you are facing the front of your car with the hood (bonnet, right?) up, on the right side of the firewall you will see a black rubber grommet with a wiring harness going through it. (I can see it in one of the photos you posted) Run your amp power cable through that grommet - you'll have to kind of wiggle it in there, but once you get it through it should pass through rather easily. Feed as much of it in there as you can without actually losing the end you're holding of course... and then go to the inside of your car and look around for the wire. On US cars, the wire would come through right below our steering column, but since your steering column is on the wrong side tongue.gif it'll probably be somewhere beneath your glove box. I assume your battery is located on the right hand (your passenger side) of your engine bay as well? This should give you a pretty straight line from the battery to the entry point on the firewall.

From there, assuming you are mounting your amplifier in your trunk (I just can't bring myself to say boot, sorry), you can run the cable beneath the door sill (the plastic strip that runs along the edge of your carpet when the door is open). The door sill just pulls up, there are plastic tabs holding it in place. Then the carpet, which has a plastic rail along its edge, just lifts up, and you will see other wiring down in there, where you can run your wiring as well. Continue it by running it behind the trim in the back seat, probably then beneath your seat (I have a hatch back, not a coupe, so I'm not sure about this part) and into your trunk.

You can also run your remote lead from the back of your stereo the same way - behind the stereo deck, along the inside of that firewall (beneath the carpet), and along that trim to the back. Naturally you're going to need to purchase some extra wiring and some wiring connectors to achieve this. GET THE WIRE CONNECTORS - don't just twist the wiring together, that's just cheesy. 16 or 18 awg wiring should be sufficient for this I believe.

right..

I cut a hole in the grommit.wire started going through and i was thinking result..then it stopped and no more wire would go in, took the glove box off and couldnt find the wire, took the undercasing off under the steering wheel and still coudlnt find the lead:(..where is it hiding??

So then i ended up putting it undernath bonnet towards the passenger door

When disaster struck

Tried to put the connecter back in..

Is that power lead now fuked? Also ive heard running the power lead like the way i have is dangerous? Any ideas?

Yeah, running it there causes it to get pinched...at least thats how it looks in the pic. As far as the cable being jacked, I dont think so, you just need to cut it, try to solder the wire and get a new connector.

Im not too sure how yours is set up, I ran mine by the kickplate by the drivers side. There is a housing that all these wiring harness plug into, I popped that off, ran my wire underneath it and through there I followed the airbag wire through to the inside of the fender and ran it to where my stock airbox used to be, then to the battery. My carbide bits were stolen, so I had to find a non drilling way. Not to mention it was like 100+ that day and just wanted to get it done. It seems like youve been at this for a while now and I can imagine that you want to get it done with already. It dosent hurt to have an extra pair of hands too, but wherever you run it, keep it clear from pinch points.
