So I have oem 5sfe plug wires on my 3sgte and wanted toyota oem plug wires but my dumb ass got some from a local parts store. There borg warner wires and they was special ordered. I figured borg warner makes good turbos, so they must make good plug wires. I installed them and a new set of ngk bkr7 plugs. Had irodium paid over 30 for them and they sucked. Any ways the car hesitates now at high boost. I checked all the wires and they are tight and are connected good. So I cant figure out whats wrong. I did not touch anything else on the car but the plugs and wires. Cant fix the issue. I think the borg warner plug wires are pieces of ****s.Anyone use them before? Tommorow I will install the old wires to see if the problem is gone.

Does the 5sfe plugs work with 3sgte? I notice some USDM parts don't work too well for JDM engines especially ignition related. Don't cheap out and buy the lesser parts. Its like fitting a baby hat on an adult head.

Its a jdm 3sgte. I got plugs for a 1993 alltrac, there ngk bkr7e. The wires are for the same car also. Do they make wires for a jdm 3sgte, is there a difference?

Well I guess its high rpms but I said boost cause the boost is high at high rpms.

About 13-14lbs. I guess its high rpms not high boost? rpms are high when the boost is high and viceversa

So this morning I checked out a few things on the engine, since it got dark right after this happened. I pushed the plug wires in on the engine and distribritor and they seemed like they had a good connection. But when I went to work after that the car did not break up or hesitate. Ran goos again. Not sure if the plug wire connections was bad and I did somthing when I pushed them in, but the problem was gone. The only thing I can think is I have been hearing my walbro fuel pump getting louder and louder. It was not loud this morning when I went to work and It ran good. I notice the longer I drive the car maybe after 20 miles the fuel pump gets real loud. It was not like this when I got the swap done. They did not drop my tank and I had old gas in the tank and they just droped the pump in the car with out draining it. So do you think the fuel pump is clogged or going out? Is anyones pump really loud?

Thats why they call it the whinebro.. But I didn't have any issues with fuel pump noise with the walbro. I couldn't even hear the pump and I like to drive with no radio on.

no, boost on stock ct20b and ct26 wastegates is maxed out at 3300rpm because they dont lag...
try tu put some grease into the wires connectors (between plug and wire) to prevent moisture

my walbro is crap and is loud but it is tough

if it gets crazy loud, then they might have used electrical tape in the tank and that could cause the filter to clog after a while.

Just curious, did you check the gap on those iridiums, and what was it?

Its gotten really loud. Its seems when its at it loudest the car idles rough also. I did use silicon grease on all plug wires. I had performance issues before like power loss ect, and I think the pump was loud then. So I am guessing Its the fuel pump, Because when I have my engine issues the pump is always screaming loud.
