I highly doubt it. I know the brake components will work buy I don't think the struts and springs will.

it might seeing as toyota didn't change much on the suspension from the 5th to 6th .. but thats something that you would have to test out..

Nope, Tanabe makes them for our cars too. Tein is a little bit cheaper though.
I like the tanabes better though. |

They have 6th gens. You have to look more closely.

so nobody at all can find a JIC Coilover kit for usdm celica's??
how about the c-one coilover kit, did they make one for the ST204 USDM GT Celica?? would this j-speed coilover fit on non superstrut celica's?? http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/J-Speed-Type-H...son-Strut-56462 This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Oct 4, 2009 - 6:21 AM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

there is:
TEIN - Only 16 way adjustable, does not come with strut mount unless you get them, you will have to use stock components, thus no camber adjustment on the fronts. Most expensive too. MEGAN - 32 way full adjustable, camber, damper, height, etc. best bang for the buck, better spring rates than TEIN, cheaper, and last longer based on Internet reviews TANABE - I believe is a full coilover kit without damper adjustment KSPORT - full coilover kit but based on reviews from internet and friends - stiff no matter what adjustment. D2 - Same thing as KSPORT same manufacturer. This post has been edited by trdproven: Oct 4, 2009 - 6:31 AM -------------------- 94 Celica GT

i really want tanabe because they are a japanese brand and have been around for 20 years, but of course you cannot adjust dampening which sucks and defeats the purpose of a coilover.
I guess im going with megan after all. Do the metal strut mount plates have an advantage over our oem/kyb stock strut mounts. Do the metal plates transfer alot more noise into the chassis and effect ride comfort?? -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

Its true about megan, if you read the reviews, people with 240s/beamers/wrx's/evo's all love them.
Yes they are made in Taiwan, but that is their only disadvantage. I have the Tanabe Type I's and its awesome that they are made in Japan but you only have to drop it 2.0" and the ride becomes very uncomfortable. If I ever need to get new coilovers I will buy megans. |

Do the metal plates transfer alot more noise into the chassis and effect ride comfort?? no difference in the mounts, they are both metal anyways. I have heard of people making noise but I just think they didn't tighten well enough, tune it well enough, or are hitting big ass bumps. Bonus of coilovers is that skinnier coil springs allows you to play with offset settings better. Not truely a disadvantage that it is made in Taiwan, Japan and US make crappy products too. Its all perception. If you found out later Tein was actually made in indonesia or india, you'd still respect the product. thats how I perceive it. -------------------- 94 Celica GT

I see no reason why the 5th gen Dampers would not fit the your 6th gen, considering I unbolted my 5th gen struts, and proceeded to bolt them right on to Brent's celica (SeverX13). The only difference that I noticed is that the brake line mount on the actual strut housing is different from a 5th to a 6th.
