So like i said in a previous topic, i have a 94 celica gt. I was looking for a new engine. found a jdm 2.0l turbo 3sgte engine with harness, ecu, and pretty much all i need. What changes or modifications would i need to put this in? I know im gonna have to mess with the wire harness a bit, but where? and how? is there a write up somewhere on this? has anyone done this?? PLZ HLP. Thanks guys.

Since you have a GT, the transmission and I believe the motor mounts are fine. Only thing you'll need are different axles, IIRC.

Holy search function, Batman!

Seriously? This topic has been covered dozens of times. There are MANY write-ups if you would use that magical "search" link in the upper right hand corner of your web browser.

The motor will bolt right in
You'll need an E153 trans, use a blocking plate on the GT-Four trans, or use your S54 GT trans.
Your harness should be sent to Dr Tweak, or do it on your own
You need a new clutch
You want LSD

Limited Slip Differential...simply put, it'll help you put the increased power down. Dr. Tweak is in Georgia, I believe. Just search 'Dr. Tweak' here and send him a PM. And yes, you can use your existing transmission.

Stock S54 axles and transmission will hold up fine to a GEN2 or lightly modded GEN3 swap.

Despite the grammatical problems with this post, I have to agree with it. Some of this stuff, if you don't already know the answer to it, you're probably not ready to undertake a motor swap on your own.
