Hey, I want to know if anyone has a writeup with pictures if possible on how to uninstall/install the ignition coil and distributor. My car died while being test driven by some ricerboy and wouldn't start back up again. It was determined that the ignition is the problem since its not getting any spark. I am also trying to sell the car, so I want to try and fix this as quickly and economical as possible. If not, I might just sell the car as is. Thanks in advance.

You don't really need pictures to do this.. It's pretty self explanatory if you just take a few minutes and look at the placement of the screws in the distributor. don't take the wires off the distributor or off of any plugs until you get the new distributor on. then replace each wire one by one... If you do need pics go get the book from an auto parts store, if available....

OK, I took off the distributor cap an i could see where the ignition coil is, but not sure if I should just unscrew those tiny screws or not. I've never needed to mess with the distributor and my other cars had external coilpacks which were just plug and play. I will see if I can figure it out myself or read the manual from celicatech. Thanks.

remove spark plug wires
remove cap
set to top dead center (rotor facing spark wire #1
remove connector(s)
remove rotor
remove 2 bolts holding the distrib to the engine (take note on the distrib angle for 94-95yrs for timing, dont know about 96-99yrs)
firmly pull distributor out

you sometimes cant just follow the old positions for the bolts on the old distributor, you have to slightly tighten the the bolts and tap left or right the distributor and find the right idle, then tighten.
