it's been done, someone in Europe did it, looks nice, looks scary, looked like something out of most people abilities.

doing an AWD convertion sound great, but unless there is a higher purpose to it ( like organised racing, shop's advertisement car etc ) I dont see the point, if it's for your normal street driving and such, the amount of work needed jsut doesn't pay off in the end.

You can take that same rationale and apply it to anything you do to a car really. "why add a turbo to you car if you are just gonna daily it"...If you did an awd conversion it can be just for daily driving, some specific type of driving, hard parking, or auto show contest. We all know that it just comes down to who can and who cant do it.

EDIT: You did say it was just your point of view, but my own is the one above. If you can do it and want too, why not?
