Like when I can see where the last spring sat on the rubber on the upper mount.when I went to put the new spring in, it didnt line up right with the rubber where the original sat. I'm going to be redoing it all soon and I will take pictures to show u what I mean.

i recall, you can make the top mount sit in the groove, then spin the top mount until you hit the area of where the spring needs to sit aligned to the top mount then uncompress. Im pretty sure thats the way i remember it.

Alright guys got it all fixed! Had no bump stops, put new ones cut on notch. Also put in properly! Thanks guys for your help! Got a noise in the rear but had it ever since I put scion rims in maybe need new say bar links? Dunno but thanks guys cause of you another celica is happy! Lol

Could be endlinks.
I had the same problem when I put my wheels on.
I think that happens because the stock endlinks could be worn out, but with the stock wheels you don't hear it because its a softer/smoother ride, but once you put wheels on it becomes harsher, so you can hear it more with the wheels on.
