okay so normaly i do not ask really anything on here unless i have done my research because more then likely you can 90% of the time find what your looking for if you just search other peoples topics. now i am kinda stuck so i need some of you swaped 3s guys input on a few things.
first off my car is a 95 gt i have front clip, motor is out parts being orderd and saved for me to have every thing ready for swap. its a 3rd gen 3s with only 23,000 miles on it. Im getting six puck clutch from act (yes im using 5sfe tranny), aem a/f, blitz boost controller, new struts with tein coils, new motor mounts, oem new belts spark plugs ect, down pipe not sure what too get yet (aussie,or ko racing down pipe) im not too sure. i have heard alot of bad things about berk down pipes welds very bad and low grade 400 series stainless steel that is "polished" with a clear coat to keep moisture out so i know that one is out of the ?!. (yes i know about having brace for down pipe or it will crack ko has bracket with theres) and aussie only comes in 3in so i dont want any suffer from boost creap because im going with a full 3in exhuast. so ill most likely go with the ko (what do you guys think does anyone have one?) one more thing im going with fmic because im not doing my gt4 front end conversion any time soon so i will not be able to keep w/a tmic cooled enough with stock hood and i dont want any heat soke going on and i plan on getting to at least 300hp so fmic seems like it is best for me. so im not sure what i should get if i should custom make one or buy one (i just need it to hold 17psi no more for now) i have seen a few guys buy them and a few custom made im not sure what size the intercooler has to be for mine because i dont have gt4 fornt bummper im not sure if that will change anything i found this one on line http://www.ebay.com/itm/FMIC-Intercooler-K...w-/130560712600. im not sure if that intercooler will give me problems when trying to install because it is for an st205. (anyone have an idea for me?) thanks in advance Talen |

You seem to be reading some old info.
1. no one buys aussie downpipes anymore. The issues about the berk that you have read about are probably about the OLD berk pipe. Everyone I know who has their new downpipe couldn't be happier. It really is the best thing out there. The 2.5 ko pipe is a waste of money. Get the Berk. 2. That front mount kit is terrible. It routes the pipes in a funny way, and the piping is cheap aluminum that will bend if you clamp it too tight. The stock water to air cooler is the best thing to use. Having a gt4 hood or not has NOTHING to do with how the intercooler functions. The vents on the gt4 hood are not for the cooler. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

you do NOT need a 6 puck disk! just get one that will hold your power. the 6 puck is going to be way too harsh!

For my front mount, I ordered about $600 worth of stainless pipes from http://www.burnsstainless.com/ , plus couplers, t-bolt clamps, and an intercooler and started cutting things and making them fit correctly.
I disagree with Smaay. I think six puck is the way to go. I have a clutchmasters six puck unsprung along with an F1 Racing light weight flywheel. I really like this setup. The pedal feel is great, and its totally perfect for daily driving. No heavy pedal feel or clutch engagement. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

What about emspowered downpipe?
http://www.emspowered.com/storefront/index...;products_id=68 I don't know any reviews on it but it's what I'm running seems to do the job. I agree stick with the top mount not only does it work nicer it looks cleaner. When I had the front mount intercooler it was such a pain. I would be driving and the pipes would come loose and I would have to pull over wait until the car cools and redo them. Less piping less problems. Half the issue was I just bought I cheap eBay kit. I would not recommend at all. It will cost you more in the long run when you are paying to redo the kit. Oh, And I love my centerforce clutch. -------------------- |

clutchmasters 6 puck unsprung is the way to go as far as the clutch. i have the new berk downpipe fully loaded (black ceramic coat) and it is great, it has a built in flexpipe so the pipe wont crack.
as far as IC piping, i am currently using ebay IC piping kit(s) and though the quality of the pipe makes it a little more difficult to get a clean consistant tig, it holds up and works just fine. how ever i wouldnt get that particular kit you are looking at as it does have alot of awkward bends and will create an awful route. http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-2-5-BLUE...eaf&vxp=mtr i bought two kits like this MINUS the intercooler and BOV as i already had those. only downfall, if your looking for a nice polished look, it will fade a little and become little dull, (maybe im just a perfectionist but it bugs me lol) stainless works too, or nice vibrant piping ![]() -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe

I think a lot of people got ripped off ordering from ems powered. 2. thats the china made downpipe that you can get for dirt cheap on ebay. I have one in my car as well, and luckily have not had problems with it (due to a correctly placed flex section in my exhaust) but they have been known to crack for a lot of people. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
