well, I guess me being the Nerd that I am, will find little comfort here... the Japanese Subs are the only way to go, the show is way more serious and interesting, and shows some aspects of the Japanese car culture. rather than watching the ****ty US dubed version, which is saturated in the ****ty parts of that teenage tuner culture here.

the Manga is way amazing (if only for that fact that it dives way further in the series and is still being produced now)

I give Takumi some mad respect for sticking with the AE-86... it's like my Celica and I. the car and I are a team, and will stick together as long as possible.

the Live action movie (which I bought in the US) is Chinese (the Actress is Japanese though) and is a little of character wise. but I still love it.

"that skirt is a weapon of mass distraction" lol awesome scene.

I used to have Geta (Japanese wooden clogs) because of Takumi's dad lol

Hahaha! I tried to find a good pair here in the US, but my brother (who lived in Japan) said he'd get me a real pair, and to this day I still haven't seen them frown.gif

I'm excited for this... very excited. I've watched it through dubbed, and I've watched it on Netflix a second and third time. I love the series.

there used to be an awesome company in the states that sold some that were like normal flipflops. had a foam cushion for your feet, leather straps and rubber bottoms for the teeth!

frown.gif I went to buy more and they are gone
