I've only noticed the appearance upgrade, not any silencing of the door while closing.

Picked up a pair of "clean-up" specials today. The lower screws were a little rusty and left the strikers a little rusty. I don't feel like cleaning them up, although they should shine up with only a little bit of work. $5 plus shipping!
