ok have you ever had your door open with your keys in it and it just dings and ding and ding all day and it drives you crazy ?
if your answer is yes then i have a great job for you first to get rid of the ding with no car problems (i promise ) remove your fuse box under your steering wheel, then you will see a red box near your fuse pannel that little basterd is located in there you must get to it!!! ok start by taking off your ignition pannel and unplug the wire attached to it so u can throw it in the back seat. ok first pannel out of the way, second pannel is held in by 4 bolts/screws 10 mm or screw driver( your choice) after them 4 are off there are 2 screws holding the hood latch there so take them off. throw that pannel in the back seat keep all bolts in floor. they're all the same, 3rd pannel has got 4 bolts, take it off then find the plug that goes into the red box. get it off and take off the red box without cuting any wires. once you have the red box in hand ( u need it dont take your anger out on the beep) yet! Open the box with a knife, there is a round black plastic thing (the beeper) on the micro chip, so take a knife stick it under, and pop it off carefuly. then plug the wires back into the box, careful they control your head lights then pop the box back in, and put the panels back on. go on to the road, take round black peice (beeper) cover in gas, and set that *%$#er on fire thx guys need help with anything pm or text This post has been edited by HKS-celi-gt: Mar 17, 2010 - 11:01 AM |

or you could just remove the little white bit from the ignition lock and you're good (see dangling little white plug) remove kick panel and/or the ignition key trim, remote white thing /done Not related to the post, but wrong - that white bit is what allows your power locks to flip themselves unlocked when you have your door open and the keys in the ignition. Trust me, I severed mine thinking it was for the ignition keyring, and I've locked my keys in my car three times since. Plus, my locks will stay locked when my door is open with the keys in, whereas before it wouldn't. So yeah. In any case, it has nothing to do with beeping. Or maybe it serves a dual purpose, but my car still dings when the keys are in and the door is open...if I recall correctly. -------------------- |
