So since i live in california passing smog is a @#$%*. unless you do it illegally. So the 2nd gen 3sgte is the way to go, im guessing also cause all the parts are available through toyota. Anwyays i saw this one intercooler that is the direct placement of the stock one but is a little different here on ebay the link is on the bottom. And i was looking on other people complete engine swaps and their hoods are not vented like the st185 or the st202 gt-4's. But anyways will that intercooler do. I dont need a vented roof if i have that one off of ebay right? It would probably would be best to get a front end clip whenever i do the swap like the one listed on ebay right?

that is a 3rd gen, water to air intercooler, which requires more parts, a heat exchanger, pump and lines.
not at all like the 2nd gen top mount intercooler, which needs a SCOOP to direct air over it (which is why the alltrac has a hood scoop)
the 3rd gen has a hood VENT, which does nothing for the intercooler, other than vent engine bay heat.
for a swap into a celica, using the stock 2nd gen ic is a VERY bad idea, as you have no way to provide cool air to the intercooler.
you either use a water to air IC setup, or a front mount intercooler.
