well i have the stock shift knob on my twm. And when i put it in 3rd, my finger about hits the bezel around the shifter. So it's low. Install time, I time I did mine in like an hour and only managed to drop that lil ****ing clip 3x and had to look for it.

for a taller shifter put really short throw

use a TWM 7th gen shifter
you can pick them up for less then 40$ i think

its about 5% shorter then the 6th gen TWM
but it sits up a little higher

I have one. Install was a breeze, 20 min or so, but I've done them before.

Id highly suggest making/buying/using spacers like TRD includes. I used washers, never hit the dash, and modified a MOMO knob to take TRD threads and sit higher. Awesome shifts.

Ive noticed the TRD is a little longer forward and backward, but is a narrower (left to right) for shifts, versus a TWM...

There shouldn't be any trouble which kind you use RHD or LHD, because the gears are all in the same position and the shifter is in the same place as LHD

no probs fitting it on the RHD. when I shift into 5th or reverse though, sometimes it will hit the handbrake (i got used to how far to pull it over. so it only nudges it now) mine is the TWM one.
