once ducted it should.
Id like to see if its working now without the ducting but: cant get the temp sensors on the Racepak to read properly and I need some yarn and a gopro to see how the airflow is coming out and hopefully not in. In the case that its going in, a gurney flap will have to be put in front of the vent

It might be worth doing a Gurney flap anyway, look forward to seeing the results.

non hood related update.

went yesterday to get the hubs installed only to find out I made another oversight.
The camry hubs I have use a different size bearing from the celica.

SO.

In my sheer frustration and anger from this whole hubs situation I just ordered new RAV4 hubs from the dealer with overnight shipping so that I can get them here, put the new studs in, install the hubs, align the car, and have the car ready for the trek up to CSP

If these hubs have the same small stud hole issue as all these damn reman'd hubs, Im done with this whole extended stud thing for a while. If a lug backs out it backs out....thats why we have 5 lugs right? backup

i picked up one from a camry, and the bearing was different.

The bearing I could see being different but was the actual hub different?

Took out one of the studs from the Solara hub and its knurl measured .557". The IS300 ARP studs I have are .558"

Also came across a hub manufacturer in PA.
SKF. They have listed on their site a hub that fits a 94-03 V6 Camry and 99-06 V6 Solara. I just saw it as good info that he hub will fit but I will also call to see if they also do the weird stud bore.

Hmmmmmm..... laugh.gif

I was thinking it was the OD that was different and not the ID as well.

Sadly I was in the middle of the stud bore frenzy...I was blind to everything haha

I happen to have a camry front hub. The idea was the same. But i wanted to replace the whole front hub for the celica. Mount points are similar. But never measured. Idea was to use this caliper to try gt4 or supra calipers

the mount points look VERY similar but like most of these things I bet there is a small difference between the two. Worth looking into though

finally.
the hubs to rule them all!

worth the trouble in the end. They look alot better than the junkyard hubs I had. Probably better to go this way than re-drill some Dorman hubs, I would be too frightened of any imbalance caused from not perfectly aligned drilling

If all goes well, Ill be putting everything back on this evening and aligning the car tomorrow morning

few pics from the past couple weeks of travels. I still need to upload the couple pics I took at Tuner Evo

When installing the knuckles, I took a look at the calipers and saw that this little patch had the powder coat removed, which makes me think that using a thinner rotor might be a good idea. The 30mm's may be a BIT too thick.

Unexpectedly ran into Jeff on the way up to CSP!

makeshift vent cover for a flash storm that came through

got in the 10mm spacers and put them on yesterday.

I am not sure if they rub yet but itll be close! Fitment is now completely to my liking now

is it really that loud that you require ear plugs to drive the car?
