Here is a little review of the arms package Techno Toy Tuning offers for our chassis.

I wont really remark on the customer service experience I had with the company, if you want to read that you can go to my build page.

The kit replaces the control arms and rear trailing arms with solid spherical joints. The only one that utilized the OE rubber bushing is the trailing arm connection to the knuckle. You can use the OE bushing. I opted to order a Poly bushing for that. All the arms are adjustable and each end.

The kit comes with spacers that are inserted into the spherical joint so that it they retain the same width as the OE Arm bushings, and all the pickup points will remain the same and suspension geometry wont be affected.

The trailing arms come with 12mm spacers for the body connection.

The control arms utilize 14mm spacers for all their connections since the 12" long bolts used for all their connections are around 13.8mm

I found that their kit was incorrectly matched with our chassis. They supplied me with 12mm spacers for the control arm to knuckle connection as if that connection uses 12mm bolts. Which we all know it does not. I contacted them to correct them on that error. I am not sure if they have or not. If anyone runs into this issue, you can do one of two things to correct this: Have the 12mm spacers drilled to 14mm (a machine shop can do this easy, it is a pain to do it on a drill press, I didn't have luck trying that) OR calling them up and reminding them of that error and they will ship you 14mm spacers.

The control arm kit does not come with any nut bolts or washers that will be needed for the install. As it is currently, they only come with the 12mm nuts and bolts and a few miscellaneous washers. You can utilize the washers that come off of the OE Arms. If they dont revise the kit, then there are enough 12mm bolts between the Trailing and Control kit to mount the Trailing arms. If they do, then you will need to order new bolts from Toyota. I will add all those part numbers in shortly.

Beyond that everything else during install is pretty straight forward. Be sure to measure your old arms and set the new arms to that spec so it is drive-able. The go get an alignment.

Here are a few pics of the items and the process.

They help provide absolute feedback to the rear. Having no give to the arms puts all the movement in the coilovers and tires. I wasnt able to feel any additional NVH but thats mostly because my car is already on the high end of that spectrum.
