your stock fronts may be 8" - but you canbuy rings to make the aperture smaller - or jus tmake some yourself..

I always thought the stock speakers sounded pretty good. maybe I'm not auditorily inclined, but seems a lot better than most stock systems.

I liked my stock stereo system too. It wasn't better than anyone who had a new speaker system, but it was better than a lot of stock ones I heard.

Now I've upgraded to Pioneer 4-ways all around and 2 12"s in the back, much better this way wink.gif

yeah one of the main reasons i bought a 6gc was riding in my friend chuckys i always loved the stock sound system. unfortunately with mine the head unit was messed up and the front woofers (it had the 8 speaker system) were blown.

it should all be fixed tomorrow and i should be on my way to sound heaven smile.gif

Fronts may be 8" depending on year also I think. I just have the standard type and I had 8" in the front. DON'T BUY RINGS! Too expensive, just make some outta wood. Cut an 8" ring, then trace your speaker in the middle of the ring or use a compass and then cut that out, TA DA! Cheap ring that works!
