Anything's possible but it will cost a fortune. I know if you import a car they need to put a EGR system in to make it legal to come in the US.

yea, but they require more than just EGR.

for a 2nd gen 3sgte, the USDM EGR parts will bolt right on. it will still be expensive, and a lot of parts to source.

just setup a fake one and run a bottle of surepass when you test the car(have a good high flow cat as well)

Won't cost a fortune... you just need USDM parts. USDM intake and exhaust manifolds with EGR parts (lines, etc...) depending on whether the JDM ones have pre-drilled spots for the EGR system... however, once you change the manifolds (if need be) there may be other stuff to change.

the egr setup in a usdm 6gc will not work on a 3sgte

I think he meant use a USDM 3SGTE EGR system... which should still function assuming you have it all on correctly.
