i noticed that the 5s throttle cable has too much slack in it when used with a 3sgte. i tried to adjust it and even hooked up the cruise controll back up, but it still seems like its too much. should i be using the 3sgte throttle cable or is there a way to make the 3s one work?

A certain person I know who is finishing his swap has the GT4 3S-GTE throttle cable and it is waaaay to long. It loops around the whole front of the engine all the way to the radiator and all the way back around to the throttle body. However there are probably several 3S throttle cables, ie. 6th Gen GT4, 5th Gen Celica, MR2, etc. Maybe one of the experienced people can tell you which one you need.

Im using the GT throttle cable, its still a little bit too long, but it can be taken care of by spacers by the gas pedal.

BTW: that CT26 in your profile has alot of oil on it, did you have the gaskets replaced?

no i did not....everyone i talked to said that the oil was on there becuase of the lack of a catch can, but it could be something else.
