Kam, I'm not talking BS. I could hear the difference between MTX and the rest, and it's extreme. They're not high quality subs, sorry if that offends you personally.

Hey guys, a lot of these car audio opinions are pretty biased. I have to say that mtx makes perfectly good car audio stuff, and so does sony. Whether or not itīs overrated is another thing. In my opinion, sony is overpriced, and mtx is overrated. You canīt just compare MTX to other brands, however. You have to compare models, and installs. I have heard a JL w7 that sounded worse than a JL w3... and Iīve heard MTX subs that sound better than JLīs...itīs all in the install, gentlemen (and ladies).
As for the situation with the sub not sounding at all... You gotta get the setup to a car audio shop, or to a friends house and narrow down the possibilities. It could be anything. Another clarification, YES YOU CAN fry an amp with the gains too high, no matter what fuses youīve got set up in your car. |
