Ok I am getting to the point i need to make a decision...3SGTE or Rebuild my 5SFE? And i figure i am going to spend $3gs and if so which would you guys go for. I mean Should i say screw my engine and go for the 3SGTE or keep mine and rebuild? Which is the better way to go?
Thanks,

It's going to be cheaper and easier to rebuild your 5S-FE(to factory specifications...I'm assuming that's what you'd do, or are you thinking more performance?)

That said, the 3S-GTE will provide you with more power(unless you rebuild the 5S-FE and put tons of money into it to get the 3S-GTE's power, in which case you'd be spending more money than doing a swap.)

If you've got the money, time, and dedication, and you want a turbocharged car, I'd say go with the 3S-GTE. smile.gif

Well coom, you can actually get just the same out of 5sfe engine if you spend the same on a swap and have it done for you, while doing ll the 5sfe work yourself- or having very little done by other people... spend roughly 2k on turbo, and 2.5k on engine internals, and you'll have an engine pushing out 3sgte levels.. UNFORTUNETLY it will only go a little higher- the 3sgte has much more top end.

So you're taking it somewhere? I'd say that you'd probably spend $2.5-4,000 on the front clip and parts, and then I'd guess $1,000-3,000 for labor.

I suggest asking around in your area. smile.gif
