In the Engines forum. I've just looked over some recent threads since returning from vacation and noticed 1/2 a dozen within a page regarding 3sgte info thats been covered over and over again. Perhaps a 3sgte FAQ with links would do nicely.

i think its a great idea, and who should do it can't be determined right now as of now lagos and dg said they would perfect what they got and post it up so i think in the next couple month or two all the info we need for a comprehensive guide will be available.

well we were but then you started deleting posts in my wiring thread a few months back. that was kind of insulting, becasue there i was, trying to get my car to run, and you were trying to limit people from sharing information.

so now i dont know whats going on with the write up, need to talk to DG about it, since he is the real expert on this topic. i still plan on doing it, but 1st i want a nice long brake after just finishing my swap.
the write up is not easy and there is a lot of information that would need to included into making it a complete "how to".

We were just trying to protect Mike's rights, to protect ourselves, as Mike could've gotten laywers involved and possibly got the site taken down had his diagrams and stuff been posted. Unlikely, yes, but it still could've happened, so we were trying to get people not to post his diagrams and stuff. We really meant no offense and weren't trying to insult anyone.

So I hope that you and DG can write something up whenever you get a chance if you want to. If not for me, for everyone else...I wouldn't use the information myself as I don't plan to do the swap, but I'd love for the site to have a completely awesome writeup to help everyone who wants to do the swap out. smile.gif

coomer, i understand you concern, but if anyone has to worry about lawyers being involved, its mike. he totally ripped off soo many people. i know of at least 5 guys that want to beat that guy down if they ever see him in person. thats why you never see him post anymore...not here or celica.net.

a lot of the wiring he did for swaps ended up not being done right. ive heared issues of people turning on their head lights and having that cause their starter to come on, etc.

then he sold wiring diragrams that had a million errors to people for 200$. when the people got their diagrams and found out that most of the stuff was wrong, he just ignored them and didnt even try to help them figure out their problems. DG is one of the people this happened to.

everyone that had problems with his work is afriad to speak up because they dont want to start s h i t, and they know he has a good rep on these msg boards.

so any way....enough about that....any info i or anyone posts will be from our own reasearch and not have anything to do with anyones incorrect work.

i like this site and this would be a great place to host this type of info. insted of doing it as a post, it would be cool if you could put it in the howto section and allow us unlimited pic uploads. so, let me know....but i dont plan to start working on this untill a month or 2 from now.

That's a good point...he used to do a good job from what I'd heard, but lately no-one can get a hold of him and he doesn't help anyone...I've also had a few members talk to me privately regarding problems with Mike. That's really a big reason as to why I'd love to see the information publicly available on here. smile.gif

This information could definitely go into the How-To Articles section of the site, with unlimited photo uploads. smile.gif

I could help you format it and organize it and get it together with links and stuff in it too. Just let me know. smile.gif
