i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Excellent job. Excellent color. Excellent match with car color. Did you do it your self or did you had them done professionally? I was gonna do mine (originally c/f blackish) but they were asking $200. Did not go trough with it because the rims are heavy and bent in a few places so i saved the money for new ones.
I painted them my self (very bad work mind you). I was just experimenting with the color to match my leather interior and didn't go with a metalic color. What do you think?

I painted them myself. I sanded down all the curb rash and paint chips.

Hanyo - lol I was holding black paint in my hands at the store, I changed my mind at the last sec.

Neokils - just sanded them down a little and try to paint them.. Its not hard you just have to tape everything up nice and take ur time.

Thanks guys later

two coats of paint and two of clear.....
I used engine paint which dries really fast.

I'm gonna redo them next weekend to practice a little more. After figure out some more tricks, I'm gonna try a two tone set up.

uppity - my flowmaster can look however it wants, the sound that sad muffler makes is orgasmic tongue.gif lol

thanks guys

Very nice looking wheels, they look great on your car. Thanks for the info too; I will be painting my horribly blemished wheels soon, and all the tips I can get are welcome.

What I can tell you is to use soft sand paper, lightly sand out the rough spots on your wheels try to get it as smooth as possible. On the lip I used a medium grit then I used a soft grit to smooth out all the crub rash. I cant remember what grit I used sorry

painting - just lay the wheels down on the grass and spray them. I tryed to keep the passes as lights as possible. Whenever the paint ran I just wiped it off with a rag and did that spot over. definatly do light sprays

I did like two clear coats ...its kinda hard to tell. Spraying the clear coat was great cause the wheels became shiney and new again.

I post a pic later tonight of how I taped everything up.
