so what are you doing? leaving in the high compression pistons or try a different set-up and going with the turbo?

I think I'm gonna keep it NA so maybe I have for sell a good turbo kit guys wink.gif wink.gif
Saturday my baby will crank and hope everything will run fine....I'll need also someone who can program my emanage to get the best result.
I think that for Christmas I'll have my cams reground and my cam gear modified to be adjustable....
To finish the engine as NA I would do something for intake like manifold and TB but dunno....
Or better...I'd do it but where can I look for a manifold for me??? any help???

Thanks

you could just port out your regular intake manifold a lot. or go custom itbs with a little manifold type thing on top of them so you dont lose all your bottom end.

Dont listen to him guys, he will do turbo I PROMISE biggrin.gif

And about TB, get 4A-GE IDV trottle bodies and customise them to fit 7A, it would be best solution..

But you dont need all this, i will get that deal on RODS and we both will fly smile.gif)

I hope that bro...I hope....anyway I've thought about ITBs and for sure it's the best solution BUT

1) I need custom flange (brooooooooooooooo bowdown.gif plzzzz wink.gif )
2)sensor rewire and check which is a pretty long work
3)someone (I don't call names... DOGGY wink.gif ) should do it with me to get a good result by comparing and share everything to get it done....

We'll see what ****in' crazy idea will get my mind!!!! biggrin.gif

ITB's will kill the bottom end but will really open up the top. There will be no point in doing ITBs if you don't run them open... It requires a significant amount of tuning to get right, not to mention some ingenuity to have it simply work. You don't have to go with 4AG ITBs, although those would be the best but also the most difficult. Going with those will leave you haveing to custom make an intake adaptor to bolt them to the 7AFE head. The cheap and easy way, I'd get a spare 7AFE intake manifold and cut it up, then simply locate some Suzuki GSX (motorcycle) ITB's and clamp them on with couplings. I'll have an example below. From there, it's all about redoing the TPS, and possibly running a canister off of the vaccume lines so you can get an even MAP reading (depends on how sensitive Toyota MAP sensors are). After that... tune.

Nice set-up BTW... much nicer than mine was back in the day. I don't know if you're planning anything with the cams... but those have gotta be upgraded in order to fully utilize all of those mods... ;]

Here's a picture of a custom ITB set-up on our Shop's B16 Civic...

Yea, granted the 7a isn't a track beast, but those do seem small. I'd have to see the 4age's tb's before I commited. (to compare size)

Anyway Edo, if i AINT sell my Celica, i will be boosting, i know for sure...

And the main problems that i left is Head gasket and the RODS. I will do my best to figure this out, and we will boost, im sick of N/A already, and i dont want my engine to eat HUGE amount of fuel and still dont have the power...

gotta figure this out...

These are roughly the same size as 4AG ITBs... anyway, bigger sized ITBs is not neccesarily better...

Hey Kwanza, I'd really like to see more pictures of the intake set up on that honda you posted. Any information about it would be great. I'd also like Lots of pictures if you have any more.

Thanks

Jon

I only took a couple of pictures and I posted 2 of them here...
I also have a video of the run, but it's too big to upload anywhere. As of a few days ago, we've since gone back to the stock manifold because of TPS problems... so that set-up might be shelved for now... but I can answer just about any questions related to a set-up like that on a Honda B16/18...

Hey Edo, I have a link for you. http://www.optionsauto.com/index.htm?stocknumber=BLZ-24044

That's a Blitz 3mm head gasket for a 4ag, which works on the ole 7a.it should drop your compression in wild and crazy ways.I know 2mm drops compression down to 8.7 to 1 on about a 9.5:1 engine, so 3mm would bring you way way down.
