So i had like 300 little rock chips in my front bumper and hood that i am sanding, and painting.
I bondo'd it all to hell then wet sanded it,
now i applied the paint just waiting for that to dry once that is done, on too the high-gloss finish! biggrin.gif

It is looking really good no probs so far!

Yeah i sanded it, i used a air gun which it f***ed it up, because i had the paper down and the pressure pushed the paint "flakes out" and it leaked out over my other part of the paint! errr im pist. So i went and bought a rubbing compound to hopefully fix it. Any suggestions, i will try to get pics but its pooring out!

yea compound would be best, at work they wont let me wet sand with the machines they make me do it all by hand. i use about 600-1100 when sanding after paint depending on the condition and how rough the serface is, did you sand through the paint, if ya did do it again

Well as it stands right now, i have this spray paint look, on the clear coat, should i just hit it with clear coat, or do the compound?

you mean like the clear coat that you srayed on it is uneven. i dont really follow what you are trying to say. are you using a spray gun or a spray can?

Spray gun, but when i sprayed to fix the chip the air carried some of the paint particles underneath my cloth and got paint spots on my fender, which it looks like hair spray on my paint job

try masking off the roof and everything back from the fenders and try all over again. Blending is tough.

o ok if its not that much. get a colth and some thinner and damp the cloth, let it dry a sec on the cloth. rub of the spots. dont rub hard becasue the old paint will rise , if that dont work sh*t paint it over or just wet sand the part the part on the fender that got messed up , use 1500 grilt and just spray a clear over that.

I tried and now it looks even more like ****, this is not going well. It looks like when it was first painted they used a few thin coats and with the thinner its makeing that come off! ahhhh i wish i had used touch up paint!
