I found this on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=38634

I know theres a cold air for ST's. Whats the reason why there isnt a cold air system for GT's? More importantly why cant a CAI for a ST fit a GT? ive been guessing its cus the diffrence of engines changes the space that the pipe can be routed and possibly a diffrence in intake manifolds. Is this correct? Would this item found on ebay work on a GT?

Oh and another thing. Ive seen this set up (product on ebay) used for civics and others. Ive always wondered where the heck the filter elements is on it. My guess would be on the end of the intercooler thingy opposite of piping inlet or on the back. If so wouldnt this be running an even worse risk of hydrolock as the filter element is even closer to the ground then it would be in a CAI setup. Seeing as the intercooler is item cooling the air then why cant the filter element be piped back up some where higher?

I didnt find n e thing while searching other then the fact of a lack of a mass produced cai unit for GT's.

Ok im dun rambling. try to answer my nu b questions and then flame me lol thanks in advanced.

i found this
http://store.gaugemagazine.com/index.asp?P...TS&Category=651

i assume its the same type of filter intercooler thingy the guy used or something like it. By the looks of it there are no true intercooler blades (radiator like) instead its just a filter. Blah i dont c how the filter can cool off any air like the blades/fins of a true intercool does. Is this set up n e better then a CAI with the filter element in a place that cooler air flows around?

Even though the dude assures his product with that plexiglass sheild, I'm still feeling that hydrolocking is a possiblity.

it's still susceptible to hydrolock, one would think..

good idea, bad implementation. you'd be better off getting creative and routing some piping somewhere around your engine bay.

i'd still recommend evil speed toe's CAI's, except he doesn't make them for the GT.

whats the reason y there isnt a CAI for GT's.

Whats the diameter of the ST throtal body verses the GT. Is there a diff sensor hook up/ mount? Ive never seen an ST engine bay is there a routing problem.

SO MUCH PIPING!!!!!I think you should spend the money transfering the battery away from the engine bay or change the air pipes with samco or something better:)
