Leader? Haha, I have nowhere near the knowledge that many people on this site have. I also am pretty much mechanically retarded(as evidenced by me throwing my intake filter against a wall yesterday when it wouldn't fit on my AFM. wink.gif)

Hopefully I can get my car back to working pretty well though...then I'll sell it and buy a cheap high-miles/blown-engine GT hopefully, and do a 3S-GTE swap myself with some help from all of you and some local friends. smile.gif

coomer. i really dont see what buying another celica would give you that your car dont have already. i mean, if you want to buy a celica, just to have a shell of a car, then you already have that and more with the car you have.

the best way to learn about cars is to get your hands dirty and start doing everything yourself. when i got my 3sgte clip, i didnt know much about my car, just the basics...but my how quickly i learned.

sometimes its better to just rip everything out and start clean... i think his 4age is a great project for someone to pick up on, but it needs someone who has been around the block with the silvertop before, someone who has worked on one previously and can troubleshoot the small detailed list of problems.

good luck coomer

well, sometimes, then my car gets on my nerves, and everything i do is looking horible to me, and i need more and more, i just let it sit for a while, drive my beater, and slow down my life... After this i take a new step on my car, and ussually i rip everything apart, and start from nothing again... its been 3 years already with my celica, and i hade some horible moments, but i didnt gave up... i holded as much as posible, and now i either trade it for GT4 or new Solara only...

Coom, please, take your time, and DONT GIVE UP, or if you do, then good luck smile.gif

I was going to say the exact same thing. If you want a 3sgte in something why not sell your silver top and do the swap into your st?

I think swaps are a nightmare, atleast mine is... Im ready to go buy a 5s-fe and put the car back together and give up on celica's all together. And just buy an already turbo'd car.

Im going on 5 months of what seemed to be a small problem, yet no one can help me...
