just sitting around thinking and wondering about how to get more power of are engines.. one idea i have was emailing one of those aftermarket campanies to make us bot GT and ST owners GE head.. the mods on this site can try to contack modes from other site and have everyone send them emails after emails telling them we want them to make us a GE head.. personaly i think that would be a great mod.. what does everyone else think?

Good idea Mac... but there are already readily available GE heads (3SGE head, 4AGE head) that will bolt up with a bit of work and will run great with some tuning... only major problem I see... wiring. There will still be a significant amount of wiring needed to match the ECU pins, vaccum lines, sensors, etc... good food for thought tho... more practical than what others come up with... ;] -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... You could always bolt a 4A-GE head onto a 7A-FE block...it requires a different timing belt(and crank pulley, I think), and some wiring changes though.
What companies would you contact as far as making a head for our stock engines? I doubt that you'd be able to get a company to do it, and if so, it'd probably be very expensive, but if you could, it'd be pretty cool. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

yea i know about the 3s and 4a heads.. but i was thinking about stright bolt on power.. have one of those comapnies figure everthing out and just have a head we can bolt one pulg in all the wires and hoses and call it a day.. as for compines not use.. how about contacting all of them ..

Which companies actually make heads for engines? I know that some companies sell complete engines(like JUN, for instance), but do they manufacture the blocks and heads themselves, or are they just modified?

Can the FE-head be modified to be turned into something like a GE-head? I think the answer to that is no, due partly to the large difference in valve angles. There are probably significant other differences as well. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

The heads are too different for that to work. I'd guess that the best bet would be to have a company make a pre-tuned ECU to simply work with a hybrid build (A custom tuned ECU to run a GE head and manifolds on FE sensors, harness, etc)... that would be the cheapest way I can think of to have it all work out...
