im personally surprised more gt owners swap instead of going 5sgte route. ats racing seems to have favor torwards the 2.2l for some of their builds and higher power cars.

well a customer is comming in next week to get a swap done to his mr2... so Im keeping bottom end... I can get a 3s head for next to nothing... But im not sure what to do this is... maybe another 6gc.. Im kind of leaning toward a fast solara but who knows....

I had to pull the head to check why my oil press is so low it looks all good but scine the head is off im gonna put a TRD 1mm steel H/G & A.E.M.TRU TIME cam gears

Personally, I like having a larger displacement.
Just 2 words of caution on using the 5S block. Mainly focused on those of you without large sums of money floating around. If you're going to be spending 20k in your engine, these are both moot....

1-It has no oil squirters.
Not the end of the world. Manny is putting some nice power down without them. Others are as well.
And yes they can be machined to accept them. But that's a good bit of time and money. It's not "easy" as someone stated.......
Just one more aspect of reliability, as far as I'm concerned....

2-If you plan on running the stock bottom end, the rod:stroke isn't too good for the higher RPMs the G head can sustain. Nor are the rods/pistons/rings designed for those higher rpms.

I do too !!! it cost me alot I took it apart about 5-6 time already & gonna do it 1 more time soon. ..
