whats wrong with drilling and using a screw? Its the only reliable way to do it, 3 gauges get a lil heavy for tape.

3m double sided tape, it's a very thin foam they use for trim peices on cars. The adheasive should be strong enough to hold it on, my local toyota dealer gave me some when my front emblem got broken off and it worked great. It's the only thing holding my emblem on for the last year and it hasn't budged a bit, very strong. It's worth a shot befor you try drilling any holes.

if i was an inanimate ojbect i probably wouldnt care.

Using screws it the intended form of attachment and it is the best looking.

Super, you crack me up...its posts like this that make me smile.

Oh, and to be productive in this thread, I would like to point out that I cut the plastic piece that covers my climate controls in order to fit my guages. One could argue that I "hurt" her by making these cuts. That said, I think it made her better. You can tell in this picture that piece was cut on the bottom of each guage so they would sit in there nicely:

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

I actually took off the original peice and with some shoving the lotek one was a direct replacement. I used some wall anchors and shoved them into the holes in the a-pillar itself, and screwed into those.

Of course, i have a vert and my piece ends exactly the way the lotek one does. I understand that in the non-vert it keeps going along the ceiling.

my problem with drilling is that the place where the holes are at in the lotek pod are right over the holes in metal behind the oem plastic cover for the pillar, the spot where the stock pillar cover snaps in place, so what do i do, just drill the oem cover to another spot and then drill the lotek pilar to the oem one

depends on who you ask, those guys that drill those holes in their foreheads probably would say yes wink.gif

Screws are the only reliable way.
