Remember back in the day when this site had no forms and all it had was how to articals, members rides, parts data base, and general information. I forget exactly how I came across this site but I shure was happy when i found it. Now that we have fourms it has made it a whole lot better. This place is the ultimate research for our cars and is a nice comunity of members. Thanks alot commer for all your hard work and effort. I hope everything goes well with your car biggrin.gif -celica2085ta-

Thanks! biggrin.gif

It's really not me though, but everyone else who's turned this site into what it is today. smile.gif

I'm so happy with how much it's grown though. Back when I first had my car, I was only able to find maybe 30 photos of Celica coupes. And the Celicas I found were nice, but nothing incredibly impressive like the cars that this site is filled with now. biggrin.gif

I was gonna sell my car back in the day. I thought it was hopeless to find parts and hook up celicas. I did a search landed on c.net. after 20 mins there, I signed up here. If c.net didnt have that link in the 6th gen forum. I dont think I would have ever found this site.

This place is great... But it needs to start archiving important info.

Maybe an achive section is in order

i remember when everyone was skeptical that this site was even going to get off the ground. people only posted like once a week and there was never anything new. c.net was a monster of a site and 6gc was just the new guy. if i remember correctly the majority of this site was started by 6gc owners fed up by the constant BS on c.net, and how prejudice it was towards our 6th gens. everything discussed seemed to be about the 7th and 5th gens.

i remember that! i hated c.net but kept going there since it was really the only place to go for anything about celicas. And then there was a sort of 6gc beta that commer put out. And then it was redesigned and came out again. Then more and more and more people started coming and the forums started building, it was like watching a sim city grow!! since then i dont visit c.net except once a week or so, i hit this site everyday!

I remember how I found this site. I had just bought the celi and was dying to know what to do with it. So first thing I did when I got home that day was start searching. When I found this sight, it blew me away. I was enthralled in the forums and parts data base for months, even though I wasn't yet a member and hadn't done a thing to the car. I just studied everything for months and finally started on the interior and then became a member and did my profile. This sight has always been a source of inspiration. There's always somebody doing the swap, doggy's wild interior/exterior mods, chucho's new paint job (hehe I'll be sportin' one soon biggrin.gif ) I honestly believe if it wasn't for this site, the Celica would not be so popular. *sniffle*

haha
