I'm unsure. I really wanted this to be the only group buy until a much later date. Also, just a FYI to all. Racingseats.com was taken off eBay for being bad. And extreme doors.com closed their account because he was selling them under invoice. I was told to price these kits out (for eBay) at 950 + shipping. I'm gonna have to sit on that for a bit though. So, i'm not sure when my next group buy will be. Playr, do you think its a 2 weeks issue? I might be able to work with you if its a short term. Of course, this doesn't give everyone the right to do this, but let me know.

I asked Extremdoors.com some questions to help everyone out.

Questions:
1. How does the 100* Kit work
2. What exactly is the degree if we take the standard kit.
3. Does the door move up quick and does the hinge stop it or the interior stop the door.
4. Will there be problems with the door and the fender when its open fully.
5. If unknowing people try to open the door, will it break, or what will happen.

Replies:
1) As far as the angle conversion kit goes, they are still in the completion stages of R&D. What they are is an extension piece that bolts on to the tip of the lift shock. This allows the doors to lift more and at a greater angle.

2) The degree of the standard kit ranges from 45-70 degrees. Hard to tell

3) The door moves up slowly. It may have to be guide about a foot up before raising by itself. It is stopped by the shock.

4) The will be absolutely no problems with the door or the fender once fully opened. The door stays away from the fender and will not come close to scratching it.

5) The kit is made to withstand 500 pounds of force. Our kits our build to withhold accidentally opening the door unknowingly. It will just be like opening your door with regular hinges to much. Same idea. We have never had a kit break under any conditions including kits modified by the customer to fit a custom application.

yes. If you buy the standard kit and think "i need more" then your more than welcome to purchase the 100* conversion. Also, when adding the 100* kit on, you dont need to take off your standard kit. It just adds right on. According to the answer that my rep gave me, it an additional peice on the shock for greater angle and futher distance. smile.gif

wonder if there would be a way to hook these up to a remote and some door poppers so you could get the door to raise all by itself....

kinda like angling the popper at the bottom corner of the back of the door well at a 45* angle

who knows.. just a thought

I was thinking this too...

Might be possible. If you put a low resistance spring between the door and the frame. The use a autoloc popper. Door pops, spring pushes door past the 2 foot mark, shock should do the rest. Something to try.

Lets get some more people in the group buy.

Lets get some more people in the group buy.

auto lock has a kit out that is motorized with door poppers.

like all auto lock products (door poppers, suicide hoods, hinge relocation kits) they are 95% universal.

just google their site (dont know it off the top of my head) so you can get more info.

so what is the latest update on this? i really hope that this GB will work out and not a flop.
