My GT is getting only 15-18 miles per gallon when I firstm got it, then i installed a tornado fuel saver and now I get around 19-21 mile per gallon. I told a guy at the toyota dealer my problem and he said that it doesn't seem right and to bring it in for a inspection. I just want to know around how many miles per gallon everyone else is getting.

20 litres of unleaded 100 octane give me 250 km

this is about....

calculating

1 litre = 0.264172051 US gallon
1 mile = 1.609344 kilometers

...... can someone better in maths calculate for me.... smile.gif

edit with the help of a friend is 29mpg

You should be getting way better mileage than that. I'm getting 26-28 MPG in my sixth gen. I'd try a tune-up yourself before taking your car in. I just did one on my fourth gen. and it wasn't hard at all.

how you guys figure out how much you get? if someone wants to do the math for me sure figure 12 bucks a week, gas is 2.45 for 87 octane. And i drive everyday prob about 10-12 miles average with prob 30 on weekends.
theres a math problem for ya, ah screw it one sec ill do the math.

yeah prob about 28-30mp/g not too bad i guess...

You fill up your tank and then reset your trip odometer. Then the next time you get gas fill it up again completely and the pump tells you how much gas you put in the car. Then divide the miles on your trip odometer by the number of gallons of gas, and there's your MPG.

I agree with Coomer.. I would say to check the emission equipment out, and see if anything is bad or something. But you should be getting around 26-35MPG, depending on driving style. Do a tune up, check air filters and stuff like that. By the way, what octane are we supposed to put in the ST204's?

Thanks for all the tips you guys gave me. I call the dealer yesterday and tried to set up an apointment to get it checked but the guy I talked to said that buy dividing the miles you ran by the gallons of gas is a incorrect way of measuring you miles per gallon.

Yeah, I'm really curious to see what they say is the correct way. I could see them saying "Yeah, we gotta hook it up to the computer and stuff...we can check your mileage for you for $70.00." tongue.gif

Miles you ran divided by gallons of gas used is the definition of miles per gallon. wink.gif
